The Evaluation Project of the Management Strategy for the Domestic Wastewater Treatment Facility

Absrtact
Due to insufficient construction of public sewage systems, the domestic sewage pollution from building sewage treatment facilities and community sewage systems is hard to be neglected. The operation of the aforementioned facilities needs to be strengthened, and the design of facilities needs to be improved at the same time. This project combined facility investigations, symposiums with stakeholders and the experience in implenmenting domestic sewage pollution reduction projects over the years. The handbooks, "Manual for the Operation and Cleaning of Building Sewage Treatment Facilities” and “Manual for the Operation and Management of Community Sewage Systems including Contract Template for Entrusted Operation of Community Sewage Treatment Facilities” are compiled and published in this project as the reference for external promotion materials. In addition, in order to maintain the water quality in drinking water source quality protection areas, this project integrated relevant Japanese regulations, domestic practical experience and expert comments into ” Guidelines for Evaluation, Selection and Design of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Removal Techniques”, which helps domestic manufacturers to redesign or modify facilities. It is also proposed to revise the “Regulations for Construction, Management and Cleaning of Building Sewage Treatment Facilities” , in order to combine the relevant work of the "the manager or management committee" referred to the” Condominium Administration Act Building Administration Division”. And also, for the “Regulations for the Manufacture, Approval, Registration and Checking of Prefabricated Building Sewage Treatment Facilities”, the amendments to the current operating procedures are proposed in this project.
